Clients, contacts & spaces
Clients
Section titled “Clients”A client is a company or brand you report to. Owners, admins and publishers can create and edit clients in the app, and AI tools can with the clients:write permission.
Each client has:
- a name and a permanent slug (AI tools refer to clients by slug or id),
- an optional main contact email (a shared mailbox),
- a team-only brief — goals, KPIs, tone, rules. AI tools read it through
get_contextand can append dated learnings withupdate_client. It’s never shown to the client.
The client’s page gathers its artifacts, spaces, contacts, team access and activity.
Client status
Section titled “Client status”| Status | Effect |
|---|---|
| Active | Normal. |
| Paused | No new links and no publish and send; existing links keep working. |
| Ended | Links are either kept, read only or all revoked, depending on the end policy you choose. |
Clients can also be archived and restored.
Team access and ethical walls
Section titled “Team access and ethical walls”From the client’s page you can grant teammates View, Contribute or Approve on the whole client or on individual spaces, and turn on an ethical wall so only granted members (plus owners and admins) can see the client. See Client access levels.
Contacts
Section titled “Contacts”A contact is a person at a client who receives its reports — name, email (unique per client) and an optional job title. Adding a contact doesn’t share anything with them.
Contact access
Section titled “Contact access”A contact’s access decides which of the client’s artifacts they’re offered links for, and what they can do through those links:
- Scope — the whole client, or one or more spaces.
- Permission — View, or Comment (which includes view, replies and sign-off).
- Email updates — None, or When published: the contact is emailed their link whenever something they can open is published.
- Expiry — an optional end date. Expired access covers nothing, and links that relied on it are revoked.
A link is still the only way a contact opens anything: access decides who is offered one, who may comment through it and who is sent new versions.
Contacts can be archived and restored. The Contacts page lists contacts across every client.
Spaces
Section titled “Spaces”A space is a folder inside a client — for example Paid social or SEO — with an optional description. Spaces:
- group a client’s artifacts,
- decide which contacts can open them (through space-scoped contact access),
- can narrow which teammates reach them (through space-scoped team access).
An artifact can be filed under several spaces of its client, or none (it then sits on the client itself). Filing it under any space a contact has access to covers it for that contact. Archiving a space stops its grants from covering anything.
Filing artifacts under clients and spaces needs Approve access. AI tools use list_spaces and file_artifact.
